Golf Tournament and Networking Event

The Opening Golf Tournament and Networking Event, followed by the Welcome Reception Dinner, on Sunday April 17 was a great way to tee up a successful week in Dubai. The 4-ball Texas Scramble team competition, which is a fun and friendly format for players of all abilities, took place at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, voted one of the world’s ‘Top 100 Must-Play Golf Courses’.

The Dubai Creek championship golf course is situated within the grounds of Park Hyatt Dubai, on the shores of Dubai creek. The par-71 course, measuring 6,967 yards, is a memorable journey from the first tee to the 18th green. The manicured fairways are undulating, demarcated by mounds, date and palm trees, and also by water. Apart from the Creek, which comes into play on four holes, several lakes add to the beauty and difficulty of the course.

Closing Golf Event

If a delegate did not have time for the Opening Golf Tournament, or just could not resist playing a second round in Dubai, there was the opportunity to take part in our Closing Golf Event on Tuesday April 19.

Our second golfing experience was hosted by the world renowned Emirates Golf Club, on the Faldo championship golf course.

A par-73, the course has proved to be as popular as its predecessor and lures players to the challenge of its 7,348 yards. A natural wadi running the length of the course comes in to play without being classified as a hazard , and along with Faldo's trademark tees and bunkers are combined with the naturally rugged terrain to create a unique golfing experience. 'The Faldo' has surpassed all of its expectations and is regarded as one of the finest courses in Dubai.
