The company is dedicated to designing outstanding golf courses in every continent - courses that are ecologically sensitive as well as environmentally sustainable, and which sit comfortably and harmoniously within their natural surroundings.

It has experience in over twenty different countries with completed projects in locations as diverse as the United States, Portugal, China, Australia, Great Britain, Vietnam, Egypt, Cyprus and Canada.

Creating Award-winning Designs

Included in Faldo Design’s global projects portfolio are several award-winning designs including The Faldo Legacy Course at Roco Ki in the Dominican Republic and Lough Erne in Northern Ireland, which were voted the 2nd and 3rd ‘Best New International Golf Courses’ respectively by GOLF Magazine in 2009, the Faldo Course at Cornelia Golf Resort in Belek (recently ranked as the number one golf course in Turkey by Top 100 Golf Courses of the World and will be co-host of the World Amateur Team Championships in 2012), Angkor Golf Resort in Cambodia (voted No.3 ‘Best New Course in Asia’ by Asian Golf Monthly in 2008), and the Wilderness Club in Montana (voted No.2 ‘Best New Private Course in the US’ by GOLF Magazine in 2009).

Sir Nick Faldo’s Special Contribution

As a player, Sir Nick Faldo is regarded as the greatest shot-maker since Ben Hogan; his ability to craft golf shots, to fashion them in varying ways depending on the prevailing course conditions sets him apart. This in-depth knowledge of the game’s finer subtleties and intricacies, combined with his considerable worldwide experience is reflected in his talent as a course designer. In essence, he is able to provide a truly unique dimension to each project that Faldo Design undertakes.

Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2009 for his services to golf, Sir Nick has a deep appreciation of the world’s great golf courses - his Major titles have been won at such revered venues as St Andrews, Augusta and Muirfield - and he has made a point of studying many of the world’s architectural classics, including Pine Valley, Royal Melbourne, Ballybunion, Cypress Point and Royal Dornoch. His mastery of golf course strategy - so celebrated in his play - is the cornerstone of his design philosophy.
