Data and analysis for our Northern European regional report has been performed based on responses from more than 260 golf courses regarding their operating performance in 2006.
The Northern European golf market is one of the most mature in Europe. Scandinavian golf clubs have a significantly larger membership base compared to the European average, reaching an average of over 1,000 members when considering all golf courses.
The highest number of members of 18-hole golf courses were reported by clubs in Norway (over 1,200 members on average), followed by Swedish clubs, with more than 1,100 members on average.
