Benchmark indicators for the operational performance of golf courses in the Middle East region

The report was prepared with contributions from more than 10 grass courses in the Middle East, over half of them from Dubai, and reflects their operating performance in 2006.

Some key highlights of this report:

  • Golf courses in Dubai are the most expensive in terms of average green fees, in comparison to all surveyed countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

  • The average revenue of respondent courses in the Middle East reached the peak of USD 6.7 million in 2006.

  • The average staff size of an 18-hole course in the Middle East was nearly 200 people, with courses in Dubai employing in excess of 230 staff.
